Peculiar Julia

Today is my Mum's birthday and as part of her present I made her a 24 page children's book (that rhymed). This seemed like an amazing idea at the start but was actually a bit of a huge undertaking (24 pages...silly me!). Anyway she seems pretty happy with it so I thought I'd share a couple of the illustrations. Its about my Mum and her sister when they were young.
Oh and this is the very last page...its my family!

Was the rhyming part hard? My sister used to own (and probably still owns) a rhyming dictionary that she took around with her everywhere she went. In case she wanted to rhyme something, I guess.

I am constantly being asked if I do Children's Books and haven't yet, because I KNOW what a huge job it is. But YOU have done it! Congratulations and how lovely it looks!

I love to give careful consideration to the books that I buy for little ones, it must feel amazing to know that you have created such a wonderous gift. Happy to your mum and hope you can now sit back and relax!
